Artistic Residents of Monarch Landing

In the words of the great Albert Einstein, “Creativity is contagious; pass it on.” As a testament to the sentiment that something transmittable can, in fact, be a good thing, Monarch Landing senior living community in Naperville held its annual resident artist gallery reception last week. Approximately two dozen residents shared their creative gifts through their photographs, paintings, beadwork, quilting, and more. The well-attended event included live music provided by two orchestra students from Metea Valley High School. Attendees enjoyed a lovely hibiscus cocktail. “We have such incredibly talented residents, and it’s always a joy to see what they have created. We have instructional arts and crafts activities on-site, as well as residents who use their free time to create on their own,” said Sherry DeFillippo, lifestyle manager at Monarch Landing. The artwork will remain on display through June of 2022.
