Engaging Activities On Display

Last week, Monarch Landing held its annual Club and Committee Fair. The event featured more than 30 exhibits representing the abundant programming at the senior living community in Naperville.

“Our retirement community has approximately 60 different clubs and committees. Much of our programming is resident-driven, reflecting many different talents and interests,” said Kelli Cox, director of resident life and wellness. Groups exhibiting at the Fair included the line dancing club, library committee, Treasure Chest resale shop, and the volunteer project steering committee.

“With groups including a woodshop committee, investing/wealth management club, astronomy, model railroad, and bike clubs and many more, we truly have something for everyone,” said Cox. Furthermore, we always welcome residents to suggest topics in which they’re interested. If we don’t already have a club or program, we are happy to help them get one started.”

Cox added that the Club and Committee Fair is a great way to show off the talents and interests of the residents, as well as provide ideas and opportunities for residents wishing to get more involved.
