Twins Back Together at Monarch Landing Senior Living Community in Naperville

Barb Wetzel Marsh and Anne Wetzel Faubel are just about inseparable. While their adult lives have taken them physically in different directions at times, the identical twin sisters have always maintained deep emotional ties. Since 2021, they’ve reunited physically, as both ladies now live at Monarch Landing senior living community in Naperville.

Anne and her husband, Gordon,  moved into independent living at Monarch Landing in 2021. Barb moved to the community in 2012 and transitioned to memory care at The Springs of Monarch Landing several years ago.

Despite being in separate levels of care,  Anne and Barb are, in fact, just a hallway away from each other and remain inseparable. They look alike, dress alike, and hang out together all the time. Anne brings Barb over to independent living to participate in activities or join her for meals. Anne will also sit in on some of the programs at The Springs. “The activities and staff are exceptional at The Springs,” said Anne.

Barb concluded, “When Anne and Gordon decided to move to Monarch Landing to be closer to me, I felt better than if I’d won the lottery. They’ve lived all over the world; we haven’t lived close since college. To have them here is the greatest gift in the world. It’s like a miracle.”
