The Springs at Monarch Landing Received Blue Ribbon in  COVID-19 Vigilance Award

Blue Ribbon Award Monarch Landing

The Springs at Monarch Landing has received Telligen’s Blue Ribbon in COVID-19 Vigilance Award. This award recognizes their commitment to preventing the spread of COVID-19 and places the organization on Telligen’s 2022 Blue Ribbon in COVID-19 Vigilance Recognition List.

Monarch Landing is a Life Plan senior living community in Naperville, offering a vibrant and engaging independent living lifestyle. The Springs at Monarch Landing provides memory-supported assisted living, rehabilitation, and skilled care.

“Nursing homes that receive this award have demonstrated their commitment to prevent the spread of COVID-19,” said Sue Stefan, Telligen Executive Director, Federal Health Solutions. “We applaud the hard work of The Springs at Monarch Landing for ensuring that COVID-19 related policies, processes and ongoing staff education are in place and for taking the critical step to get their staff and residents vaccinated.”

The Springs has met the criteria to prevent the spread of COVID-19 for the safety of their residents and staff. This includes completing a COVID-19 preparedness attestation and achieving a staff COVID-19 vaccination rate of 95% or greater, a resident COVID-19 vaccination rate of 95% or greater and a resident booster rate of 90% or greater.

The Telligin Award is the latest in a series of honors that The Springs has earned over the past year. Earlier this year, memory-supported assisted living at The Springs received a deficiency-free survey from the Illinois Department of Health. In order to receive this result, representatives from IDPH who visited the community carefully evaluated all aspects of its operations. They found all criteria to meet or exceed state standards. Deficiency-free results are difficult to achieve.

Additionally, The Springs earned the prestigious five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and has been designated Best Nursing Home by U.S. News and World Report for 2021-2022.

“We consistently work hard to provide the best care and services, and we’re proud of our team for their commitment to our residents. The great honors and recognition are testament to our high standards,” said Elizabeth VanDerWal, administrator of The Springs. “We are proud that residents of The Springs and their loved ones can be confident that they’re receiving the best care.”
