The Springs at Monarch Landing Earns Best Nursing Home Designation from U.S. News and World Report

“We’re proud but not surprised to be among the best,” said Mark Trnka, executive director of Monarch Landing senior living community in Naperville. The Springs, Monarch Landing’s Health Care, and Rehabilitation Center earned the designation as one of U.S. News and World Report’s Best Nursing Homes for 2020-2021. The means that The Springs is among the elite group of the top 21% of nursing homes. “The honor acknowledges that our team is dedicated and providing the very best care,” said Trnka.

U.S. News and World Report is considered the global authority on health care rankings. 2020-2021 is the 11th year that they’ve published their ‘Best Of’ designations. This year, the nursing home profile pages were updated to include a patient safety summary reflecting COVID-19 data.

The Springs was identified as being ‘high-performing,’ the top designation in both ranked categories: long-term care and short-term care. The long-term category considers staffing, success in preventing ER visits, pneumonia vaccination rates, and more. The short-term category assesses the consistency of registered nursing staff, success in preventing falls, and more. Only a very small percentage of communities, including The Springs, earned the top ranking in both categories.

Additionally, The Springs at Monarch Landing has earned the prestigious five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

“We are proud of our entire team and look forward to continuing to provide unparalleled service in 2021,” said Trnka.
